[Bug]: IPFS ENS - Navigating to an ENS domain throws warning in the background `ReferenceError: name is not defined`

### Describe the bug

Whenever I am navigating to an ENS domain I see the background warning `ReferenceError: name is not defined`.
The functionality is preserved.

In the current production version `12.9.0` I don't see this, but this other one `RangeError#1: Could not decode varint`.

Note: not sure which team owns the ENS browser resolution, so I've assigned it to the Platform team, but feel free to re-assign

### Expected behavior

No errors/warnings.

1. Make sure you have the ENS IPFS resolution from settings
2. Select mainnet
3. Open the background console
4. Open a new tab
5. Go to `https://metamask.eth`
6. See warning

Reproduce on Chrome/Linux with MetaMask 12.10.0 by enabling ENS IPFS resolution, selecting mainnet, opening the background console, and navigating to https://metamask.eth. Trace the background ReferenceError: name is not defined and compare it with the reported production behavior; done means ENS navigation still works without background errors or warnings.
