Description
I'm unable to recive any callbacks event from MetaMask, i only get some errors
This error is displayed when i open the metamask window calling `await provider.request({method: 'eth_requestAccounts'}` or ` web3.eth.getAccounts()`

Research direction
Start by reproducing the reported behavior with provider.request({method: 'eth_requestAccounts'}) and web3.eth.getAccounts(), recording the error shown in the attached screenshot. Trace the provider entry points reached by those calls and compare the callback behavior with the expected WebExtension provider flow. Done means the calls no longer produce the reported error and MetaMask callbacks are received.
