Widget config gets lost on a multiple canvasses flexlayout

Description
after an automatic widget status change from 'ACTIVE' to 'HIDDEN' the widget.config.instances is set to []
can it be that config.instances is a "reserved" attribute ?
I've checked the Yale code and there is nothing that sets the widget status to HIDDEN so it seems that this is done somewhere in Geppetto Meta
