Description
The first PR does add a proper readme, but we need to verify that it is sufficient (we need beta testers). I intend to ask NIWA to do this, once I have confirmed cray compiler (already in fab, but we need a proper setup here). works.

Research direction
Review the existing README and Fab setup for the Cray compiler. Confirm whether the README is sufficient for NIWA or other beta testers to use the project, and verify that the Cray compiler setup works. Done means the setup is confirmed and the documentation supports successful beta testing.
