Description
While retaining PR #2268 and related branch for compatibility/others using this for FastNetUK evaluation and verification, open a new branch that backs out these changes into a self contained util script, as part of CSET preprocessing.
This script can then be shared with the DR team to add as a postprocessing task in the anemoi workflow so that data that hits disk is already has more compliant metadata for direct use in CSET.
