Description

Contour Frequency Altitude Diagrams (CFADs) are a useful way of looking at how distributions vary with height and are widely used. They are also very useful for cloud property analysis in terms of the microphysics.

Research direction

The issue names CFADs but does not identify any files, tests, entry points, inputs, or expected output. Start by locating the Python analysis and visualization components in CSET and review existing weather-model evaluation workflows. Define the supported data and plotting behavior before implementation, then add tests or an example demonstrating a completed CFAD.
