Description
This echoed statement doesn't quite fit with the `if` at the top anymore, it should probably say something about RAW_DATA_DIR_MODE is it's going to say anything.
But I also noticed that this script has more uses of `echo` than most of the scripts in CMEW, so maybe we need to decide how many we want.

Research direction
Start by reading save_raw_data.sh, especially the if at the top and its uses of echo, then compare logging patterns in other CMEW scripts. Done means agreeing how the message should refer to RAW_DATA_DIR_MODE and settling the intended number of echo statements.
