Description

Add and demonstrate support for the following variables (as requested by a user):

- [ ] near surface air temperature: tas.Amon
- [ ] net downward radiative flux at TOA: rtmt.Amon
- [ ] outgoing SW at TOA: rsut.Amon
- [ ] outgoing LW at TOA: rlut.Amon
- [ ] atmosphere optical thickness due to ambient aerosol particles: od550aer.AERmon
- [ ] vertically integrated liquid water path: clw.Amon
- [ ] cloud fraction : clt.Amon
- [ ] Net land CO2 flux: nbp
- [ ] Net ocean CO2 flux: fgco2
- [ ] Atmospheric CO2 concentration: co2
- [ ] number concentration of cloud liquid water particles: cdnc.AERmon

Depends on:

- Issue to cover customisation of monitor recipe to add/remove variables in addition to just datasets.

Definition of Done

- [ ] Support for the above variables has been added to the suite and patched into the monitor recipe at runtime.

Research direction

Start by reviewing the CMM suite and the monitor-recipe customisation work listed as a dependency. Trace how the requested variables are added and patched into the monitor recipe at runtime. Done means all listed variables are supported and plots comparing CMEW and CMM output for each variable are attached to the ticket.
