Description

Migrated Jira Issue CDDSO-116
Jira creation date 10/05/2022 16:14
-------
It is quite possible to run CDDS for a set of monthly data and miss a few variables that are produced from the daily streams e.g. Amon/tasmax (monthly average of daily maximum temperature at 2m)

A warning at the end of the prepare generate variable list saying that there is a gap would be valuable

Research direction

Start at the CDDS Prepare step that generates the variable list and inspect how active variables and request JSON variables are loaded. The change is complete when the prepare process warns at the end whenever active variables are missing from the request JSON, including gaps such as daily-stream variables omitted from a monthly request.
