Description

Migrated Jira Issue CDDSO-260
Jira creation date 30/03/2023 20:32
-------
Textualize is a python library for creating TUI applications. See [https://www.textualize.io/|https://www.textualize.io/|smart-link]

At present we are using ``rose edit`` almost like a pseudo GUI for an alternative way to create ``request.json`` files. Using textualize could give us an alternative way for users to interface with CDDS and give us greater flexibility over how things are presented to the user.

Research direction

Start by reviewing the current `rose edit` workflow and how it creates `request.json` files. Read the Textualize documentation and compare its suitability for a CDDS TUI; done means documenting the findings and defining whether an alternative interface should be pursued.
