Description

Description
Full zoom in Changes viewer does not show all point features added in selected version. When using the zoom functionality in the Project History Changes viewer, not all new point features from the selected version are displayed on the map. This issue is mostly related to point features, while line and polygon features are displayed correctly.

Environment
Staging

Application (+ app version, build, operating system)

  • QGIS version: 3.40.5-Bratislava
  • Plugin version: 2025.3.1
  • OS: macOS, Sequoia 15.6

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open a project with multiple versions in QGIS
  2. Go to Project History (Changes viewer)
  3. Select a version that contains multiple new point features
  4. Use the zoom functionality to view all features added in that version
  5. Observe the map display

Actual results
The zoom functionality in Changes viewer does not show all new point features that were added in the selected version. Some point features remain outside the visible area or are not properly displayed. Line and polygon features are displayed correctly.

Expected results
When using zoom in Changes viewer, all new point features added in the selected version should be visible on the map, with the view properly adjusted to show the complete extent of all changes, similar to how line and polygon features are correctly displayed.

Research direction

Start by reproducing the issue in the Project History Changes viewer with QGIS 3.40.5-Bratislava and plugin version 2025.3.1, using a version with multiple new point features. Trace the zoom functionality and compare its handling of point features with lines and polygons; done means the adjusted map view shows all changes from the selected version.
