Description
What happens
When I have connected an external GPS device (ex Emlid), and I switch to another application and back, when input shows that the device is unpaired and needs to be paid again. This is basically not true. Because when I which to another app again and get back to the input, it reconnects immediately. So it works like this:
- I have connected Emlid
- switch to another app and back
- Input shows the device is unpaired - can't use it to record features. there is not reconnection attempt.
- switch to another app and back
- input reconnects the device immediately and now I can use it again

Research direction
No files, tests, or entry points are identified in the issue. Reproduce the Emlid Bluetooth GPS flow by switching away from and back to the app; done means the input does not falsely show the device as unpaired and can record features without requiring another app switch.
