- first reported in #2646
- reporting as separate issue here
- confirmed to still be present in 2.1.1 on android

- the attached shows how the lower parts of the letters are obscured unless one holds their finger on the screen which will reveal the full vertical extent.
- the problem can be worse on smaller screens, i.e., harder to read what one is typing
