Description
With the refactored Home page, the error message for deleted projects on Mergin is not clear. To replicate the issue:
1- Download an existing project in Input
2- Make some changes to the survey layer (so your Sync status is activated).
3- Delete the project from Mergin
4- On Input, from Home, press Sync for the project:an error message appears saying make sure you are logged in and have sufficient right. We should first check if the project exist on Mergin.

Research direction
Start in the refactored Home page's Sync flow and reproduce the issue by downloading a project, changing its survey layer, deleting the project from Mergin, and pressing Sync. Trace how the remote project status is checked; done means a deleted project receives a clear, specific error instead of the login or permissions message.
