persisting the selected hoster could be the default instead of an explicit checkbox
settings should get the dropdown and skip check
could benefit from some error feedback, especially for custom/new entries

i’m personally not used to pasting unhosted image data into text-only IRC, so this wholly relies on feedback of people actually already manually or planning on using it

Start by reviewing the existing login modal and settings UI, then resolve the proposed paste or drag-and-drop flow, host selection, persistence, and error feedback with the project maintainers. Done should be a decided and implemented flow that previews image content as needed, inserts the hosted URL, and handles cancellation and custom host errors.
