Description

Goal

Add background refresh and offline resilience for prayer-time module.

Scope

  • Refresh prayer data daily and on app resume.
  • Keep last successful schedule for offline usage.
  • Gracefully degrade when API is unavailable.
  • Add logging/telemetry hooks for fetch failures.

Acceptance Criteria

  • App continues showing last valid times when offline.
  • Data refreshes automatically at configured points.
  • Failure paths are visible in logs and non-blocking in UI.

Research direction

Locate the prayer-time module and its API fetch path, then inspect how app resume and scheduled work are handled. Done means refreshes occur at the configured points, the last valid schedule remains available offline, failures are logged without blocking the UI, and the relevant behavior is covered by existing project checks.
