GIF 在互联网上被广泛使用，TIFF 被广泛用于出版、扫描等领域；而新的图像格式如 WebP 和 AVIF 已经被一些网站使用，因此已成为较常见的格式之一；HEIF 现在也作为某些设备（如 iPhone）的照片格式之一。
这些图像格式大多已经支持在 Web 浏览器中显示，建议添加对这些以及其他常见格式的支持。
