Description
Don't know what this would look like yet, but since my procedural geometry work in Unity is compute-based, I'd like to be able to replicate that in Blender as well instead of using a Geometry shader.

Research direction
The issue describes adding compute shader support to Blender to support procedural geometry currently implemented with Unity compute shaders. No files, tests, or entry points are identified, so first determine where the viewport render engine handles geometry shaders and whether compute shaders are supported. Done would mean compute-based procedural geometry can be replicated in Blender instead of using a Geometry shader.
