Description
Right now, the direct collocation methods assume that the time grid in the trajectory is uniform. It would be much better if the user could supply an arbitrary grid on which to solve the problem.

Research direction
Start by locating the direct collocation methods and the trajectory-grid handling they share, then trace where the assumption of a uniform time grid enters. The work is done when users can supply an arbitrary grid to the affected methods and the existing uniform-grid behavior remains valid.
