Description

This has been happening during PPA builds on 32-bit systems (i386 and armhf) (e.g., this build) since #3965 was merged:

 -- capturing check(7, "Msolve")
E: Build killed with signal TERM after 150 minutes of inactivity

Research direction

Start with the check(7, "Msolve") invocation and the PPA build log linked in the issue, then compare the behavior with the changes introduced by #3965 on 32-bit systems. Determine why i386 and armhf builds become inactive and are terminated; done means the check completes without the 150-minute timeout on those targets.
