Description
I am working on the documentation of a package, and I just figured out that Safari is not reading LaTex code properly. This is happening with M2 v1.17. I didn't have this issue with M2 v1.16. Firefox and Chrome work well. See screenshots:
**Safari** Version 14.0.3 (16610.4.3.1.7)

Research direction
Reproduce the documentation rendering in Safari 14.0.3 with M2 v1.17, then compare it with M2 v1.16, Firefox, and Chrome. Start by locating the documentation CSS and LaTeX rendering path; done means LaTeX displays correctly in Safari as it does in the other browsers.
