Description

It considers the first two `*`s to be the start and end of bold-text, rather than the second and third.

The preview pane gets it right!

Research direction

Reproduce the issue in the code pane with `(*) *BOLD* text` and compare it with the preview pane, which is reported to render it correctly. Trace the code-pane Markdown rendering path and consider the issue done when the second and third asterisks delimit the bold text consistently with the preview.
