Description

To reproduce:
1. Launch a new MacDown document with _preview hidden_ (because autosave).
2. Write. Do not show preview pane at any point of time.
3. Export to PDF. The document will be blank.

Research direction

No files, tests, or entry points are mentioned in the issue. First reproduce the export with the preview hidden, then trace the PDF export and preview-rendering paths to find their dependency. Done means exporting a newly written document produces a non-blank PDF without opening the preview pane.
