Description
I know that MacDown is kind of abandoned but just for the record I would like to report some issues I've notices in macOS Sonoma on Intel systems:
- Running MacDown on macOS Sonoma 14.2 beta 3 (23C5047e) causes the CPU to run at 100% on Intel systems
- "OpenRecent" sub-menu contains empty entries:

I really hope that someone will fork this repo and continue to work on it to keep MacDown alive because it's the best Markdown Editor around, imo.

Research direction
No source file or test is named. First reproduce the 100% CPU usage on an Intel Mac running macOS Sonoma 14.2 beta 3, then inspect the OpenRecent menu behavior; done means CPU usage is no longer excessive and recent-file entries are populated rather than empty.
