Description

I found that if I use Escaping Backticks to quote a paragraph of code which includes some lines begin with #
the lines begin with # will break the verbatim itself, making that line a title line.

This behavior is different from GitHub.

Research direction

Reproduce the issue in MacDown using a verbatim code paragraph containing lines beginning with #, then compare the result with GitHub. Trace the Markdown parsing or rendering path that treats those lines as titles and identify the relevant test location. Done means such lines remain verbatim, with coverage for the regression.
