Description
Seems that the bug from https://github.com/MacDownApp/macdown/issues/253 has come back in the latest build from master.
I get nasty flickering from the preview pane any time I type a keystroke.
This is on a build of master as of today (March 13, 2019) on Mojave 10.14.3

Research direction
Reproduce the flicker while typing in a master build on macOS Mojave, using the linked demo video and the earlier issue #253 for comparison. Trace the preview-pane update path and compare current behavior with the prior fix. Done means typing no longer causes visible preview flicker in the affected build.
