Description

Hey @MaartenGr , is it possible to preserve custom labels from two separate topic models when merging them? I want to be able to identify the specific topics from model 1 and model 2 that are retained in the merged model. Thanks!

Research direction

Start by locating BERTopic.merge_models() and reading how topics are selected and represented during a merge. Determine how custom labels from each source model could remain associated with retained topics, then verify that the merged model identifies each topic's originating model and label.
