Description

Hello, thanks for the exceptional work in creating and maintaining the MIMIC-IV database!

We received a question from a reviewer of our research manuscript, and I am hoping to seek some guidance. The question is about DRG. We are wondering for the DRG codes in MIMIC-IV, are those DRG codes the original DRGs submitted/claimed by hospitals, or the actual DRG codes approved by insurance company?

Many thanks.

Research direction

No file, test, or entry point is mentioned. Start by checking the MIMIC-IV DRG field documentation and data definitions; done means clarifying whether the codes represent hospital-submitted or claimed DRGs, or insurer-approved DRGs.
