Description
HI
Thank you for your attention and kindly help.
I found many similar items in table D_ITEM when querying glucose.(MIMICIII-V1.4) For example, 'glucose' and 'glucose (70-105)'. What does '70-105' mean? At the same time, I also found that the names of some projects include 'soft', so what does this mean. In addition, is there any difference between the measurement results recorded in tables that are 'labevents' and 'chartevents'. The last question is that why do the same items have different ITEMID? Such as, in D_ITEMS, LABEL is 'ionized calcium' which has three different ITEMID? (1350, 816, 8177)
Thank you very much.

Research direction
Review the MIMIC-III v1.4 data dictionary entries for D_ITEM, labevents, and chartevents, focusing on the glucose labels, “soft” names, repeated ITEMIDs, and table-specific measurements. Done means providing a clear explanation of each distinction and why the listed ionized-calcium ITEMIDs differ.
