Description

When going through any portal, changing any graphics related setting or leaving, then re-entering a world, the LODs will glitch out and flicker.

voxy report video.zip

When doing any of those actions again, the LODs will go back to normal. Same when /voxy reload is typed in chat (though typing it again, or typing it when the LODs are working, will glitch them out).

When the glitched state persists because no reload was done, the game will crash after some time, and the AMD graphics platform too (though the latter recovers after a few seconds).

Crash data collected by AMD Bug reporting software:
AMD Bug Reporting Form Submitted Data 20260122T160207.zip

MClog:
latest.log

Operating System: Windows 11
Minecraft 1.21.11 (4 GB ram)
Mods:

  • Voxy 0.2.9-alpha
  • Sodium 0.8.2
  • Fabric API

Research direction

Start by reproducing the portal, graphics-setting, and world re-entry transitions on the listed Windows 11, Minecraft 1.21.11, Voxy, Sodium, and Fabric API setup. Review voxy report video.zip, latest.log, and the AMD Bug Reporting Form data, then compare the glitched state with /voxy reload. Done means LODs remain stable through these transitions without the reported crash.
