Description

If I enable any Voxy-compatible shader, the water just "sticks to the crosshair/camera" behind the render distance. For me, that happens only when shaders are enabled. If they are disabled, they work normally.

I use the Fabulously Optimized Modpack from Modrinth together with the latest version of Voxy that is available on Modrinth. The shader I used in the video is the Photon Voxy Support shader from the official GitHub page.

Here's my setup:

  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600x
  • GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6600
  • RAM: Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 32GB@3200MHz
  • MB: GIGABYTE B550 Gaming X V2
  • OS: Arch Linux (Kernel: Linux 6.18.6-zen1-zen-1 which is the latest version), but I have the same issue on Windows 11.

Thanks in advance, and thanks for your work at this incredible mod! If you need any further information, feel free to tell me.

Research direction

No source files, tests, or entry points are named. First reproduce the issue with Voxy-compatible shaders, especially Photon Voxy Support, and compare water rendering with shaders enabled and disabled beyond the render distance. Done means water no longer follows the crosshair or camera behind the render distance while shaders are enabled.
