Description

Hi Luke,
I bought a fan from Kmart the other day. It's the LED Desk Fan. Model No.: HEG10LED

It displays the Time and Temperature while it spins. It think it was about $10 or something.

Have you seen these as yet, or considered hacking in to them as yet?
Anyway, just an idea. I'm yet to pull mine apart, as I've just pulled it out of the box and then had an idea...

Cheers,
Steve

Research direction

Start by reading the repository's Raspberry Pi fan-control scripts and the linked Kmart LED Desk Fan manual to determine whether the HEG10LED can be controlled. Done would require a defined hardware interface, implementation scope, and tests or demonstration criteria, none of which the issue currently specifies.
