Description
How are you using the lua-language-server?
Visual Studio Code Extension (sumneko.lua)
Which OS are you using?
Linux
What is the issue affecting?
Libraries
Expected Behaviour
Following https://github.com/LuaLS/lua-language-server/discussions/3219 I've figured out that Go to definition does not act properly even if variable is set as local explicitly, see the video for details
Actual Behaviour

Reproduction steps
I've created a repo with the code used in a video so you can clone and test it yourself https://github.com/Real-Gecko/lua-ls-test

Research direction
Start by cloning the linked Real-Gecko/lua-ls-test repository and reproducing the behavior through the Visual Studio Code Extension on Linux. Trace the language server's Go to definition handling for explicitly local variables; done means navigation reaches the correct local definition in the reproduction case.
