### Reproduction steps

open any lua file in helix with this language configuration
```

name = "lua"
scope = "source.lua"
roots = ["."]
file-types = ["lua"]
comment-token = "--"
indent = { tab-width = 4, unit = " " }
language-servers = ["lua-language-server"]
```
this has worked in the past, but it's suddenly broken

Reproduce the missing colors in Helix with the Lua language configuration shown in the issue, then inspect the language-server interaction involved in code coloring. Done means that colors are restored for Lua files in this configuration and the reproduction no longer occurs.
