### Expected Behaviour
When connecting to my server over SSH via vscode with this plugin enabled it causes 100% CPU utilization
### Actual Behaviour
I expect little to no impact on server CPU from this plugin
### Reproduction steps
1. Connect to remote via SSH in vscode with Remote explorer plugin
2. View cpu usage with a tool such as `htop`

Research direction
Reproduce the report by connecting from Windows to a Linux server through VS Code's Remote Explorer with the Lua extension enabled. Monitor the server with htop and compare CPU usage with the extension disabled; done means the remote language-server process no longer causes sustained 100% CPU usage.
