Description

Recently I have noticed that in certain scenarios, the global hotkeys stop working on the main / run screen.
If I click on the "save times" after getting a gold split and resetting, the hotkeys stop working until I restart the application.

I use the desktop version on Linux Mint 22.1 Cinnamon

Steps To Replicate:

  1. Start Livesplit
  2. Get a gold time
  3. reset the run
  4. Click on the appearing window to save new records
  5. Hotkeys now don't work anymore on this particular screen

(they are still recognized in the settings however)

I have noticed this happening in other scenarios as well but I could not reliably re-create it. It usually has something to do with clicking with the mouse on the LiveSplit application however.

I added a video below showing my keystrokes through VIA and how they stop working after clicking the menu.

Research direction

Start by running the desktop version on Linux and reproduce the gold split, reset, and save-times click sequence described in the issue. Inspect the hotkey handling around focus changes between the main/run screen, save-times window, and settings; done means hotkeys continue working after the click without requiring an application restart.
