Description
## 📚 Documentation
It seems the documenation didn't cover this, so I am not sure if it should work on pytorch lightning.
The mnist example in the documentation of thunder is using raw pytorch.

Research direction
The issue mentions the Thunder MNIST documentation example and PyTorch Lightning modules, but names no files or tests. Start by comparing that example with the PyTorch Lightning documentation and determine the supported compatibility scope. Done means documenting whether Lightning modules work with Thunder and any stated limitations.
