Description

Hello,

I have a b850 tuf asus mobo, and a 9800x3d. I noticed that there's no option for me in fancontrol to select the cpu hotspot temp; only ccd1 and tdie. I don't know whether this is due to the motherboard or the CPU, but I'm happy to contribute in some way if needed.

Cheers

Research direction

Start by reproducing the missing CPU hotspot sensor with the reported ASUS B850 TUF motherboard and Ryzen 7 9800X3D hardware, then inspect the existing CPU and motherboard temperature sensor support. Confirm whether the sensor is exposed by the hardware or firmware and whether LibreHardwareMonitor can surface it for FanControl; done means the hotspot temperature is available as a selectable reading.
