Description

please, add a check for bedrock players to allow them to join with regex on their names like: . so the floodgate prefix gets allowed but not allowed for java edition players to use them

if i add for example ''.'' allowed on ''illegalname:'' java edition players can use ''.'' on their names too and there can be multiple accounts with same nicknames and this is what floodgate prefix exactly wants to prevent

Research direction

No file or test is named. Start by locating the name-validation or join-check entry point and confirm how Bedrock players are identified through Floodgate. Done means regex rules can allow the Floodgate prefix for Bedrock names while preventing Java players from using it and preserving unique-name protection; add coverage for both editions.
