Description

I'm always using it thankfully. However, as a result of recent experiments, I found that no matter how much bitrate is adjusted, the amount of download traffic does not change. The setting is in use by both h.265 and hevc and is accessed by moonlight. Both Moonlight and openstream set bitrate to 5 mbps, but it doesn't seem to apply.

Research direction

Trace how the bitrate setting from Moonlight and openstream is passed into the H.265/HEVC streaming path, then compare it with observed download traffic. Done means changing the bitrate produces a corresponding change in traffic for both H.265 and HEVC.
