MIDI CC Rack not working / Need help getting MIDI CC messages to work

### Bug Summary

The knobs in the MIDI CC Rack don't work on the software MIDI synth, despite LMMS having the ability to send bank select messages to it (point 6 in the steps to reproduce).
Beginners here, me and a friend are trying to get the Yamaha S-YXG50 VSTi to work but after spending many hours on it, we are stuck.

### Expected Behaviour

The chosen knob should be able to send the requested MIDI message.

### Steps To Reproduce

Scenario 1:
1. Load SYXG50.DLL (Yamaha S-YXG50 Portable VSTi) into VeSTige. Because it's UI lacks the ability to send MIDI messages there is no way to access the rest of it's functionality.

Scenario 2:
1. Install the Falcosoft VSTi MIDI Driver (allows to use any VSTi as a global system MIDI synth) and load the SYXG50.DLL
2. (Optional?) Install Coolsoft MIDI Mapper (allows every game or MIDI player which uses the **default** system MIDI synth to the user configured MIDI Out device), configure the default MIDI device to VST MIDI Synth (port A)
3. Open LMMS
4. Open VeSTige and go in to it's MIDI tab
5. Enable MIDI Output and choose Coolsoft MIDI Mapper, VST MIDI Synth (port A) or (port B)
6. Test if it works - set VELOC to 64 and PROG to anything between 2 and 128
7. In the Song-Editor, click the gear next to VeSTige, hover over MIDI, then click Open/Close MIDI CC Rack
8. Pick a knob like CC 7 (volume), right-click it, choose connect to controller, pick a channel and set the controller to 7
9. Play a note and realize it does nothing. Knob value stuck at 0.

Start by reproducing the issue through VeSTige's MIDI tab and MIDI CC Rack using the Yamaha S-YXG50 setup described in the steps. Trace why a connected CC 7 controller leaves the knob at 0, and consider the issue done when the selected CC knob sends the requested MIDI message to the software synth.
