Research direction
Start by reproducing the problem in LMMS 1.3 alpha on Windows 11: duplicate an instrument in the Beat Maker and verify that it produces no sound. No file or test is named, so locate the Beat Maker implementation and its duplication behavior first; done means the duplicated instrument plays normally.
