### Bug Summary
Hi,
I don't know if im just being a bit silly but I have carla installed, which I installed before lmms, and I use the up to date app image downloaded just today. But it does not seem to detect carla on my system, similarly with midi applications, they just do not show up in midi selection. Could I have done something wrong?
### Expected Behaviour
For Carla to show up in plugins and my midi to show up in midi selection
### Steps To Reproduce
Literally just download carla and then LMMS appimage

Research direction
Start by reproducing the issue on Chromebook Linux with LMMS 1.3 and the AppImage, using Carla and a MIDI application as the test cases. Check how LMMS detects plugins and MIDI applications; done when both Carla appears in the plugin list and the MIDI applications appear in MIDI selection.
