Research direction

Reproduce the issue in LMMS 1.3.0-alpha.1.743 using an assigned MIDI controller on the preset forward and backward controls. Start by tracing the MIDI controller handling for preset selection and compare the highlighted-button behavior with actual preset changes. Done means both assigned controls select the next or previous preset reliably, with a regression test if the existing test structure supports it.
