Dear Developers,
Adding control to automation track is done via drag and drop of the control when holding Cmd. There are two modes of mouse pointer during the drag and drop:
1. When dragging, control icon is displayed next to the pointer.
2. When hovering over automation track, a (+) icon shows up.
With 1., drop does nothing, while with 2. it adds the control to automation, which is a normal behaviour.
In my case, (1.2.0-rc7 and 1.2.0 current, 03.07.2019, Mac OS 10.12), I do not see option 2. It appears occasionaly, when pointer is at the edge of the track (or something), and dissappears immediately, making the drop impossible. I.e. hovering above automation track (with the rectangle saying "drop here") only shows option 1., just like hovering wherever else.
