Description
Tried to post this as an 'enhancement' -that diddent happen
The (next to magnifcant) linking of VSTs controllers to automationable LMMS-dials can be difficult to manage. Often it will take long time to find the lmms-diel that will control the wanted VSTs controller.
Could some kind of 'searching' be implemented?
Most simple would be if the lmms-dial simply moved, when the VST-controller was changed, but i doubt that a link exists??
A context search could also work well. Eg just as in the instrument bank; a display-filtering depending on user-entered letters, in an input-field -Possible?
I know this will be difficult, but it would enhance general workflow a lot. Perhaps others have better ideas of how to implement this?

Research direction
Start by tracing how VST controllers are linked to automation-capable LMMS dials and compare that workflow with the instrument-bank display filtering mentioned in the issue. The issue names no files, tests, or entry points, so the relevant controller-linking and filtering code must first be located. Done would mean an agreed search workflow that helps users find the LMMS dial for a VST controller.
