Description

What does the Automation bypass button do? It just turns off the Automation track until the bypass button is turned off. This way a user can a b the effect of the Automation track, this can all so be a part of live mode. In Automation set/clear record button #2083 added these buttons to the Automation track. I'd move then where mute/ solo buttons are now, why? They aren't needed after all there isn't sound on this track. Where the set/clear record button are now there could be a Automation bypass button. This option should all so be in the gear menu.

Research direction

Start by examining the Automation track controls described in issue #2083, including the current set/clear record, mute, and solo button positions. Review how the gear menu and live mode handle Automation, then verify that bypass can be toggled from the track and gear menu and that the proposed control placement works.
