Description

As the title says. MTE aims to mitigate memory-related vulnerabilities. It is a very useful feature which greatly improves security.

Research direction

Start with the four MTE references in the issue, especially the Android NDK and MTE configuration guidance, then inspect the Android project’s build and runtime configuration to identify where an opt-in belongs. The issue names no files, tests, device requirements, or compatibility boundaries; completion would require an agreed implementation scope and verification that MTE can be opted into without breaking supported devices.
