Research direction

Start by reproducing the Cmd+P quick-search delay on macOS with three projects, eight collections, and over 100 requests, first with the HMAC plugin disabled. Profile the time from pressing Cmd+P until the search is ready and compare it with a smaller workspace. Done means the quick search appears and accepts typing after only a small delay.
