Description
## Jobs to be done (optional)
Kong's OpenID Connect plugin supports mapping a claim to a virtual Consumer through the `credential_claim` option.
This allows Kong to track requests to virtual consumers vs. requiring Kong Consumers to be created. The authenticated identity is part of the request logs but Kong Konnect does not surface these requests since they are not tied to a physical Consumer entity.
Many customers do not create Consumers in Kong, rather use the virtual Consumers through OIDC and expect analytics data for those virtual consumers to be displayed in Konnect. At the moment, the only way to surface these analytics is to use the logging plugins externalize the logs to an observability platform.
## Definition of done
I think this could be surfaced by the OIDC plugin examples/guides that would create the virtual consumer.
